Tutorial - Simple 'Christmas Tree' tree ornaments

If you fancy making these pretty things you will need:

  • Lolly pop sticks
  • Glue (PVA works best)
  • Glitter
  • Sparkly bits e.g. sequins
  • Tweezers (optional but helps with fine motor skills)

Glue 3 lolly pop sticks together with glue like this.

Then dot glue around the triangle like this.

On each dot place something sparkly like a sequin.

Honi enjoyed using tweezers to do this.

Harmonie, being that she is a little smaller, prefered using her fingers and at 2 and a half was very able to get the project done mostly independantly.

It was very cute seeing such small hands at work.

When you are finished you should have something like the one in the photo above and the photo below.

Then using more glue add a bit of ribbon (fold it in half and stick the two ends together and then stick that to the top of the tree) so it can be hung up on your Christmas tree and voila!

A cute and easy to make Christmas decoration.

    1. Glad you like it. Lolly pop sticks are unusually useful things; I have another crafty idea that use lolly pop sticks that I'm hoping to post up shortly too :)
