How to make a model Neuron and more...

So recently we have been looking at how the brain works.  So we got hands on and made models.

As I make science models with kids, I talk to the kids about what each part represents and how it actually all works for real.  If you want to learn about Neurons check out my STEP by STEP tutorial blog post by clicking on the photo of the neuron below...

We then made a model of a brain...

We also made a thaumotrope.  An old Victorian toy, simple to make but shows how the information going to the brain from the eye can get muddled up.  No one knows exactly why this happens, it is a phenomenon.  But to me it shows us how truly complex our brains are!

  1. I love the hands-on ways you're using to illustrate the brain. I'd never heard of a thaumotrope but it sounds very cool!

  3. I have never seen such a way of teaching the processes, that can be so boring, using such original ways to learn it.

  4. Know Your Industry Before you even think about attempting to become a model you should have at least some idea of what modelling is, and what will be expected of you should you be successful. best company

Awesome idea to create models with kids! It would be even cooler if my kids could help me with writing, so that I wouldn't need to check WritemyPapers.org prices and order papers online.

  6. It's very interesting for me to be engaged with a child, because thanks to these studies I remember a lot of useful information that I forgot.
