Salt dough shapes

I could tell I was a little bit tired last night as I reread through the blog I done last night just.  Hopefully it makes a bit more sense now.

HB has been helping me make some salt dough shapes today ready for tomorrows Tots plus.  We're having a sports day as our last meet up before the summer holidays and I thought it would be lovely for the children to make their own medals.  I left HB with the remainder of the dough to make some shapes of her own which she loved.  She's being a little impatient now we're waiting for them to bake, although, I don't blame her, it's taking ages!

Salt dough is so easy to make to, here's how to do it:

1 cup of flour, 1 cup of salt and half a cup of water.  Mix it into a dough and then it's ready to roll out to use.

When all the shapes are cut put in an oven, set at the lowest possible temperature for at least a couple of hours.  When they're cooled you can make them all pretty, with paint glitter or whatever you fancy!

NB: If you need holes to thread ribbons or something else through make the holes before baking the shapes.
