Harder Chemistry Experiments

This is where I am keeping all my harder Chemistry experiments and projects aimed more at preteens and teenagers.
If you're looking for some practical science that is a little more challenging have a look.
A Step by Step tutorial on how to make your own (non toxic) bath bombs!

Soda Snake - This is a really cool experiment!  It involves fire for starters and then, if you get it just right you get something that looks like this...

Iodine clock - I take you through how to do this super cool experiment in this post.  Here is the You Tube Video to give you a taster...

How to make carbonic acid  This is quite a simple chemistry experiment but a very interesting one.

Elephant Toothpaste (the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide) - Explosive experiment!

Exothermic reactions

Flame test

Hydrogen - making hydrogen go pop!

Litmus Test
- How to make your own litmus test

Invisible Ink - 4 invisible ink experiments to try!
